BURLINGTON, WI – Authorities told CBS 58 that it was 34-year-old Jake Zappa, a Pizza Ranch employee, who passed away after he was struck by a trash truck Monday.
To recap, this wreck happened before 10 a.m. when Zappa was walking in the Pizza Ranch parking lot at 960 Milwaukee Avenue and was hit by the driver of the garbage truck, putting the truck in reverse.
Zappa succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene, and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
