MILWAUKEE, WI – Police have confirmed that an 11-year-old boy, who was taken to a hospital, died on Monday after a crash in the McGovern Park area on Tuesday, March 5th, WISN said.
To recap, this collision happened around 4 p.m. at the North Sherman Boulevard & West Villard Avenue junction when a 31-year-old man ran a red light and then hit a second vehicle, leading the second car to overturn before crashing into a third vehicle, and the third automobile hitting the fourth vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle — the 55-year-old woman — and the passenger with her — the 11-year-old boy, her grandson — were sent to the hospital. The woman died on that day.
The driver who ran the red light, 31-year-old Davonte Jackson, tried to flee the scene but was found and arrested. He has been charged with second-degree reckless homicide and hit and run, resulting in death. His bail has been set at $500,000.
