MILWAUKEE, WI — A police pursuit led to a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning in Milwaukee’s Walnut Hill neighborhood, according to WISN.

Milwaukee Police said the collision took place at the intersection of 35th Street and Lisbon Avenue.

Preliminary details indicate MPD officers spotted a silver Infinity that was reported stolen and wanted in connection to a shooting incident. A pursuit was initiated after the driver, a 20-year-old man, fled an attempted traffic stop.

Shortly after, the fleeing vehicle ran a red light at the above intersection and collided with two SUVs and then a light pole. Authorities said the Infinity narrowly missed striking a pickup truck that had just entered the area.

Witnesses said they observed at least three people emerge from the causing car to flee on foot. Three suspects–the 20-year-old male driver and two female passengers aged 20 and 17–were ultimately apprehended and arrested.

The three suspects, along with a passenger from one of the victim vehicles, were all transported to an area hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
