KENOSHA COUNTY WI — Authorities are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a serious injury crash involving a U-Haul Thursday morning in the Town of Brighton, according to TMJ4.
The collision occurred in the 22000 block of Wisconsin State Highway 142 (Burlington Road). Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department crews responded to the scene at around 7:30 a.m.
Officials say a 27-year-old woman was operating a black SUV when the vehicle was hit by a U-Haul that was towing a camper.
First responders arrived to find the driver of the SUV with traumatic injuries and that the driver of the U-Haul had fled on foot. Both vehicles had also sustained significant damage.
After being stabilized at the scene, the victim was flown to Froedtert Hospital.
At this time, an investigation and search for the fleeing driver remain ongoing.
