MILWAUKEE, WI — Crews were dispatched to a crash Thursday afternoon on Wisconsin State Highway 36 in east Greenfield, according to 511 Wisconsin.
Officials said the wreck occurred on the northbound lanes at West Layton Avenue. It was first reported by 511 Wisconsin at 3:49 p.m.
While the circumstances remain unclear at this time, a section of the northbound highway was shut down for more than 40 minutes, suggesting a major accident and a more involved emergency response.

By 4:32 p.m., the scene had been removed from the roadway and all lanes were restored to traffic.
