MILWAUKEE, WI — Crews have reopened the part of northbound Interstate 43 that closed near the Marquette Interchange Thursday morning after a semi-truck jackknifed, causing a fuel spill, reports WISN.
The accident happened right at the northbound offramp to West Michigan Street. It was first reported by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office at 7:34 a.m., and shortly after, crews began working to clear the scene.
By 3:10 p.m. later that afternoon, the cleanup had been completed and all travel lanes were restored to traffic.
While the driver of the semi was not reported hurt, the MCSO indicated that one person sustained minor injuries in a secondary crash that may have been caused by the slick roadway.
