BROWN COUNTY, WI — Authorities continue to search for the drivers connected to a hit-and-run crash late July in Bellevue that killed an elderly pedestrian, according to WBAY.

The fatal incident occurred on a stretch of Main Street (County Highway R) between Wisconsin State Highway 29 and Glenmore Road, on July 31, just before 1:00 a.m.

An early investigation indicates Kenneth Kraynik, 82, a nearby resident, was on foot when he was hit by at least two vehicles whose drivers fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Kraynik was pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders.

Photos newly released by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office show two vehicles believed to have been involved: a semi-tractor and an SUV hauling a dump trailer without working lights.

Investigators noted that while many of the images may be blurry, anyone with relevant information is urged to call the sheriff’s office at (920) 448-4230. Those wishing to remain anonymous can also reach CrimeStoppers at (920) 432-7867 or through the P3 tips app.
