BROWN COUNTY, WI — An 82-year-old man died early Monday after being struck by as many as three vehicles in the Village of Bellevue, according to NBC26.
The fatal incident was reported near 3144 Main Street (U.S. Highway 141), in front of Duke’s Wheels.
An investigation into the circumstances of the event remains underway, but preliminary details indicate the man, a nearby resident, had walked from his home when he was struck by three different vehicles.
Deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrived to find the victim deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
Authorities said they have since located the driver of the first vehicle but are seeking help from the public to identify the other two involved vehicles: a light-colored SUV and a dark-colored pickup truck towing a utility trailer with no working lights.
An investigation by the BCSO’s Crash Reconstruction Unit remains ongoing.
