MILWAUKEE, WI — A 41-year-old man remains hospitalized following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in downtown Milwaukee during the Memorial Day weekend, according to CBS58.

The incident occurred near East Brady Street and North Arlington Place, in the city’s Lower East Side, early Monday, May 29, at about 2:00 a.m.

Milwaukee Police said the man was crossing the street on foot when he was hit by a silver SUV whose driver continued away from the scene without stopping. Authorities now believe that vehicle to be a silver 2011 to 2017 Jeep Patriot with likely front-end damage.

The victim, who was rushed to Froedtert Hospital with severe injuries, has only recently left the ICU. According to his mother, he suffered multiple hematomata, a fractured skull, and had all of his ribs, both legs and a foot broken.

Anyone who has information on the incident or the driver is urged to contact the MPD at (414) 935-7360. Anonymous tippers can reach Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS, or P3 Tips.
