CALUMET COUNTY, WI — The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 37-year-old Brillion man who died Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck near southeast Kaukauna, reports WBAY.
The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of County Highway KK and County Highway D, in the Town of Woodville. CCSO deputies responded to the scene at around 3:30 p.m.
Authorities said the victim, Christopher Robley, was driving a pickup truck northbound on County Highway D. When the pickup entered the intersection with County Highway KK, it was hit by an SUV traveling eastbound. Preliminary details indicate the driver of the SUV, 73-year-old Louis Maylander, of Appleton, had pulled into the path of the pickup truck.
The Brillion man was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed officials.
The driver of the SUV and his passenger, 73-year-old Kaeleen Maylander, also of Appleton, were both transported to an area hospital where they were listed in critical and fair conditions, respectively.
An investigation remains ongoing, but authorities have since determined that intoxication is not a contributing factor.
