CALUMET COUNTY, WI — A 37-year-old man from Brillion died Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near Kaukauna that injured two other people, according to NBC26.

Calumet County officials said the accident happened at the intersection of County Highway KK and County Highway D, in the Town of Woodville. Deputies were dispatched to the scene just before 3:30 p.m.

Preliminary details show a 73-year-old Appleton man was driving an SUV eastbound on CTH KK when he stopped at a stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection and collided with the victim’s pickup truck, which was heading northbound on County Highway D. Investigators noted traffic on CTH D does not have a posted stop sign.

The Brillion man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, confirmed officials.

First responders rushed the driver of the SUV to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. His passenger, a 73-year-old Appleton woman, was listed in fair condition.

An investigation remains ongoing, but deputies said intoxication does not appear to be a factor in the wreck.
