MILWAUKEE, WI — Two teenage girls have been arrested following a reckless driving incident Monday morning that injured two children, one critically, in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.

The Milwaukee Police Department said collision occurred in the area of 80th and Kiehnau Avenue, in front of Morse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented, just before 9:00 a.m.

According to authorities, a reckless driver in a stolen Kia collided with a school bus, setting off a chain reaction that also impacted a Milwaukee Public Schools pickup truck and a silver Mercedes SUV.

As a result of the crash, a 15-year-old in the striking vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. They were taken to a local hospital where their condition remains undisclosed. Video taken during the event show the victim, who was hanging outside a passenger side window, falling out of the vehicle and being dragged. The driver of the Kia is also seen attempting to flee the scene on foot.

An 11-year-old student on the school bus was also taken to an area hospital for injuries considered non-life-threatening.

The MPD said that since the incident, two teenage girls, ages 15 and 14, have been arrested.

At this time, an investigation and search for additional unknown suspects remains ongoing.
