FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — A 68-year-old woman from Campbellsport has died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near Kewaskum, according to We Are Green Bay.
The fatal accident happened on County Road S, just north of Earl Court. Officials from both the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Kewaskum Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene at about 4:00 p.m.
An early investigation indicates a the woman was driving a vehicle that traveled off of the roadway, through a ditch, and then collided with the culvert at Earl Court.
The female driver, who suffered serious injuries, was first transported by ambulance to an area hospital but then was later airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
At this time, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says speed and intoxication appear to have contributed to the crash.
