News UPDATE: MPD identifies vehicle of suspect sought in fatal Milwaukee hit-and-run

MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities have identified a vehicle linked to a crash that fatally injured a male pedestrian Sunday night in Milwaukee’s Lower East Side area, reports TMJ4.

Milwaukee Police responded to the scene n the 1200 block of East Brady Street, near North Franklin Place. The incident was reported at around 11:53 p.m.

The circumstances behind the crash remain unclear, but an early investigation indicates the man, 32, was struck by a dark gray 2011-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on North Water Street.

Officials said the victim was rushed to a local hospital in “grave condition,” and by the following Monday afternoon, he died as a result of his injuries.

The department did not initially release a description of the suspect vehicle, but investigators have now shared new photos captured in surveillance footage.
