CALEDONIA, WI – Caledonia Police confirmed that it was a 36-year-old man who passed away in a collision at WIS 38 and Emmertsen Road Tuesday.
New details from CBS 58 reveal that at around 7:45 a.m., an 18-year-old Racine woman driving a PT Cruiser tried to turn left on southbound Emmertsen from WIS 38 West and struck the Hyundai Tucson.
Authorities said the driver of the Hyundai — a West Allis resident — was going east on WIS 38 at the time, and the impact had led his car to overturn and then hit a pole. As a result, the man (whose name was not released) succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
First responders said the 18-year-old woman did consult with police and was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
