CALEDONIA, WI – A police chase that began on Highway G near I-94 ended when a driver crashed into a man early Sunday.
Racine County News/Scanner first reported this incident after 3:30 a.m. and said the pursuit was brought on when the Racine County Sheriff’s Office and Caledonia police received a call about a stolen vehicle. After they saw the described car, the pursuit began before ending.
When the crash ended, the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but was found by a creek and then apprehended. The suspect is now in custody.
Authorities were able to seize drugs located from the stolen car and also noted that a gun was thrown from the vehicle during the chase.
Charges and citations are not immediately clear. In addition, officials did not release the identities of the suspects.
