MILWAUKEE, WI – A 21-year-old man was fleeing from police and then crashed into a semi-truck, which ended the pursuit and resulted in him getting arrested Monday.
Milwaukee Police told FOX6Now the events unfolded around 4:30 p.m. when they tried to pull over the motorist for an unspecified traffic infraction. The man declined, drove away, and later crashed into the semi-truck on I-94, close to Greenfield Avenue, leading the car to sustain significant damage.
First responders took the suspect to a hospital for a medical evaluation. While it is unclear if he sustained injuries, he was released from the hospital, which suggests the wounds, if any, are minor. Police arrested him and recovered a firearm from him.
The man’s specific charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
