MILWAUKEE, WI – As of Tuesday, 24-year-old Anwar Maxwell, who was responsible for t-boning a minivan and then crashing into a patrol car after a pursuit, will face many charges.

TMJ4 said that the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is being charged with “possession of a firearm by a felon, possession and intent to sell cocaine, and possession and intent to sell heroin.” In addition, Fox6 said Maxwell faces two counts of “Vehicle operator flee(ing)/elud(ing) officer resulting in great bodily harm, two counts of first-degree reckless injury, and Vehicle operator for fleeing/eluding officer resulting in bodily harm, First-degree recklessly endangering safety, and two counts of Hit-and-run that led to great bodily harm.”

To recap, this collision started to unfold around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb 27th, in the area of Muskego Avenue and Mitchell Street. Police attempted to stop a small green car driven by Maxwell. He declined to stop, thus initiating the pursuit. As officers continued to follow him, he ran a red light and then t-boned a minivan and collided with the patrol car.

Maxwell tried to flee the scene on foot before he was apprehended.  The minivan driver, a 50-year-old adult, was sent to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Two occupants of the patrol car — a 38-year-old adult and a 51-year-old adult, were all hospitalized. One sustained a broken wrist, and the other individual suffered a laceration to the head.
