WEST ALLIS, WI – Two women were entrapped, extricated, and then taken to a hospital following a pursuit-turned collision Saturday.

West Allis police told CBS58 that the events unfolded when officers, before 6 p.m., received a call regarding a stolen vehicle in the area of South 108th Street and West Grant Street. They saw the description of the car and attempted to conduct a traffic stop at 108th and Grant. The driver, a 21-year-old man of that vehicle, declined to stop and drove away, thus initiating the pursuit.

The pursuit ended when the man collided with a parked vehicle and then attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended and then booked into custody. It is unclear if he was injured.

The two ladies inside his car were entrapped but freed thanks to aid from first responders.

Emergency crews extricated the women and then took them to a hospital, where they are recovering.
