News: Woman dies following single-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac, child found uninjured

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — A single-vehicle accident Tuesday evening in Fond du Lac has claimed the life of aa 33-year-old woman, according to We Are Green Bay.

The accident happened in the area of West Follett Street and North Main Street, prompting a response from Fond du Lac Police some time before 6:30 p.m.

Preliminary details show the woman and a 3-year-old child were traveling inside a vehicle that struck landscaping bricks before landing on top of several bushes.

Authorities did not confirm whether the woman was the driver, but the victim was found unresponsive and in a slumped-over position. First responders administered life-saving measures at the scene before rushing her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The toddler was not reported hurt.

An investigation remains in progress and an autopsy is expected to be conducted by the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office.
