MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people, including a 3-year-old child, suffered injuries Friday afternoon when an SUV lost control and crashed into a northwest Milwaukee daycare, reports WISN.

The collision unfolded at Kids Land Learning Center, off 79th Street and Capitol Street (Wisconsin State Highway 190), in the Arlington Gardens neighborhood. It was first reported at about 1:30 p.m.

According to surveillance footage recovered from the area, an SUV was traveling westbound on Capitol Drive when it veered to avoid striking another vehicle. The maneuver caused the SUV driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then slammed into the front window of the day care.

Authorities said the impact shattered glass, which struck the 3-year-old child, who had to get a total of three stitches across his hands and feet.

A 40-year-old who was involved in the crash also suffered unspecified injuries. It was unclear whether this person was the driver or another occupant of the daycare.

At this time, no arrests, charges, or citations have been reported.
