RACINE COUNTY, WI — A semi-tractor trailer overturned during a multi-vehicle wreck Sunday night on Interstate 94 near Sturtevant, according to WISN.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-94, south of Wisconsin State Highway 20 (Washington Avenue) and north of WIS-11 (Durand Avenue). It was first reported by the Department of Transportation at 9:34 p.m.
Early details provided by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office indicate a semi-tractor trailer and as many as two other vehicles were involved in a collision that caused the semi to roll onto its side.
While no injuries were immediately reported, a section of southbound I-90 was expected to stay shut down for over two hours as crews worked to process the scene.
Southbound motorists were asked to divert at WIS-20 and re-enter the interstate at WIS-11.
