MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 93-year-old man died last Friday afternoon following a pedestrian collision near Wisconsin Avenue Park in Wauwatosa, reports TMJ4.
The fatal incident unfolded near the intersection of North 103rd Street and West Wisconsin Avenue, on February 9, at around 1:40 p.m.
A witness said the victim was on foot and using a walker as he tried to cross the roadway. At one point, he was struck by an unspecified vehicle, and the impact reportedly caused his body to be thrown nearly 30 feet from the crash site.
First responders pronounced the victim deceased shortly after, confirmed Wauwatosa Police. On Monday, two days later, Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as David Grau, a retired priest who was a resident of St. Camillus Assisted Living.
Authorities said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with an investigation, which remains in progress. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
