WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — A single-vehicle accident Wednesday night in the town of Jackson has claimed the life of a 23-year-old Germantown woman, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene on Division Road, north of Wisconsin State Highway 60, some time before 9:00 p.m.
Authorities believe that the young woman was driving southbound on Division Road when her vehicle veered off into the west shoulder. She appeared to have overcorrected, causing the car to go east and cross the northbound highway before it traveled into the east ditch, where it overturned in heavy brush.
Deputies arrived in the area to find the driver and sole occupant, who was ejected during the crash, unconscious outside of the vehicle. Crews with Jackson Fire and Rescue pronounced the victim deceased at the site.
Part of Division Road was shut down for four hours to accommodate an investigation.
