MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A multi-vehicle accident Wednesday, February 14, in Brookfield claimed the life of a 40-year-old woman and left several other people injured, reports TMJ4.
The fatal wreck unfolded on an unspecified stretch of Capitol Drive at around 12:53 p.m.
City of Brookfield Police Department officials said the woman was driving westbound on the road when her car collided with three eastbound vehicles.
Despite life-saving measures administered at the scene, the driver of the westbound vehicle died from injuries suffered in the crash.
First responders rushed two of the three eastbound drivers to an area hospital. No information about the severity of their conditions has been shared, but they are expected to survive.
The Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are assisting the City of Brookfield Police and Fire Departments in an investigation.
