KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — Significant property damage was reported last Sunday morning, February 11, after a pickup truck crashed into a building off Antioch Road in Trevor, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The collision unfolded at Don’s Garage, located near the intersection with County Highway JF, at about 2:00 p.m.
Preliminary details show a young man was driving the pickup on County Highway JF when he tried to turn onto Antioch Road. Authorities said he lost control after accelerating from a stopped position, causing the vehicle to slam into the building.
While the impact caused major damage, sending glass, bricks, and other kinds of debris into the air, no injuries were immediately reported.
According to a social media post by Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue, the Kenosha County Specialized Response Team was requested at the scene to asses the building’s structural integrity and ensure it was stabilized. Multiple other area agencies also assisted at the scene.
It’s unclear at this time whether the driver will face citations.
