News: At least 1 injured as vehicle slams into pole in NW Racine

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Authorities were called to an injury collision Wednesday evening on 4 Mile Road in northwest Racine, according to Racine County News/Scanner.

The accident happened in the 4100 block of the road, near the Root River. Caledonia Police and Fire Department crews responded to the scene at around 8:04 p.m.

Few details have been made available at this time, but the impact downed live wires, which were reportedly sparking.

At least one person suffered unspecified injuries. It’s unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital.

A photo captured at the scene shows a pickup truck with significant front-end damage, and the pole collapsed over it.
