SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A pickup truck slammed into a commercial business building Saturday evening in Oostburg after sideswiping another vehicle, according to CBS58.
The accident happened at the corner of 9th Street and Center Avenue at about 5:28 p.m.
An investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office indicates that the pickup was heading westbound when its driver tried to pass another vehicle just as an eastbound vehicle was oncoming. Moments later, the pickup sideswiped the eastbound car and then crashed into the commercial building.
Authorities said the driver of the pickup suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening, but it was unclear whether they were transported to the hospital from the scene. No injuries to the eastbound driver or anyone else were reported.
An investigation was underway, but the sheriff’s office said speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the event.
