SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — Five people suffered injuries due to a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in northwest Sheboygan, reports FOX 6 Now.

The accident unfolded at about 3:20 p.m., on the northbound Interstate 43 near Superior Avenue.

While the sequence of events leading up to the wreck has not been shared, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said road conditions and driver inattention contributed to the crash.

A 31-year-old woman who was driving one vehicle suffered minor injuries, as did her passenger, a 32-year-old man. It was unclear whether the occupants, both Sheboygan County residents, had to be taken to a hospital.

A 38-year-old Brown County woman who was operating another vehicle was traveling with two children. Two of the occupants were transported to an area hospital for unspecified injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle, a 19-year-old Manitowoc County woman, was also taken to a hospital. The severity of her injuries has not been disclosed.

An investigation remains ongoing.
