MILWAUKEE, WI — A fleeing vehicle struck a Greenfield Police Department vehicle and then a home in Milwaukee’s south side early Wednesday, reports WISN.

GPD officials said officers responded to a call at about 1:35 a.m. about a vehicle being stolen from the Rosen Kia lot near 27th Street and Grange Avenue in Greenfield.

A police pursuit was initiated shortly after the stolen vehicle was spotted at 27th Street and Layton Boulevard. At one point, the suspect vehicle struck a GPD squad car in the area of 27th Street and Holt. At about 1:50 a.m., the fleeing vehicle slammed into the front porch of a house located at 32nd Street and Lincoln Avenue.

While the officer of the struck squad car is expected to make a recovery, at the time of WISN’s report, the suspect, who fled the scene on foot, has not been located.

An investigation remains ongoing.
