MILWAUKEE, WI — Four teenagers were arrested Tuesday evening after a police pursuit and crash in Milwaukee’s south side injured two MPD officers, reports TMJ4.

The Milwaukee Police Department said officers began pursuing a stolen vehicle near 6th and Oklahoma at about 6:45 p.m. Some time after, the fleeing vehicle collided with an uninvolved car in the area of South 20th Street and West Oklahoma Avenue, near Kinnickinnic Sports Center, in the city’s Southgate area.

Following the collision, the stolen vehicle–which was carrying two teens aged 15 and 16, as well as two others aged 17–was observed attempting to flee before it collided with a marked squad car.

Authorities said all four teens were taken into custody at the scene, and a firearm was recovered.

The driver of the uninvolved car, 23, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Two officers aged 53 and 54 who were in the struck squad vehicle were also transported to the hospital for non-fatal injuries. They are expected to make a recovery.

At this time, an investigation remains underway. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is expected to review charges.
