FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI — Two people were injured, one critically, Wednesday morning due to a two-truck crash on Wisconsin State Highway 23 in Mount Calvary, reports NBC26.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation and State Patrol officials said the accident happened in an area west of County Road W at about 9:00 a.m.

According to deputies, a 53-year-old Baraboo man was behind the wheel of a semi that collided with a John Deere tractor operated by a 62-year-old Mount Calvary man.

The semi ultimately came to a stop in a marshy area and the tractor landed in a ditch, in an area north of WIS-23.

First responders had the driver of the tractor, who suffered life-threatening injuries, rushed to a Neenah hospital. The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital in Fond du Lac for injuries considered non-life-threatening.

No other details have been made available at this time, but the WSP continues to investigate.
