RACINE COUNTY, WI — A crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in north Union Grove left at least one person injured, according to Racine County News/Scanner.

The accident took place at the intersection of 58th Road and South Colony Avenue (U.S. Highway 45), in an area north of Union Grove High School. Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department crews and Racine County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the scene some time before 7:20 a.m.

Authorities did not immediately indicate which driver was at fault, but a school bus and another vehicle collided.

No one aboard the school bus was reported hurt, but Flight for Life was initially requested at the scene for the driver of the vehicle.

The medical helicopter was ultimately cancelled and the patient, who was left unconscious but breathing, was instead transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
