CALUMET COUNTY, WI — A 40-year-old woman died early Thursday evening following a pedestrian crash in the Village of Harrison, according to NBC26.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal incident took place on Wisconsin State Highway 114 near Pigeon Road, in an area bordered by Sherwood and Menasha. It was first reported at about 5:00 p.m.
Officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash, but the victim, a resident of Fox Crossing, was pronounced deceased at the scene after being struck by a pickup truck. Her identity has not been made public at this time.
The driver, a 40-year-old Sherwood man who remained at the scene, was not reported injured.
An investigation remains open and ongoing, but poor visibility due to rainy weather conditions is believed to have contributed to the crash. No pending charges have been reported.
