WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — One person lost their life Wednesday morning following a pedestrian crash involving a semi-truck near southeast Slinger, reports WISN.
The fatal incident took place on the northbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Sherman Road. It was first reported by WISN shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Details are limited, but the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said a pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, has died after being hit by a tractor-trailer.
A stretch of the northbound interstate was shut down at the U.S. Highway 45 interchange during the emergency response and initial investigation.
Authorities have not said whether the semi driver is expected to face charges, and no other details have been made available.
