MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 30-year-old man has died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night, December 3, near Oak Creek, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Oak Creek Police said the collision occurred on South Pennsylvania Avenue, just south of College Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Milwaukee Police Officer James Nowak, 30, was off-duty when his car collided with the trailer of a semi that was making a U-turn ahead of him.
Nowak was rushed to an area Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he was listed in grave condition Monday night. No other injuries were reported.
On Wednesday, December 6, the OCPD confirmed that Nowak had died as a result of his injuries.
An investigation remains open and ongoing.
