WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A police pursuit led to a rollover crash late Wednesday in Delafield that claimed the lives of two people and left four others injured, reports WISN.
The accident happened at the intersection of Greywood Lane and Golf Road, shortly before 12:00 a.m.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were in the area of Prospect Avenue and Interstate 94 when they tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation. When the driver failed to stop, deputies began chasing the vehicle as it fled westbound on Golf Road.
At one point, the fleeing vehicle crashed and came to rest on its side.
First responders pronounced two people in the vehicle deceased at the scene. Four others were transported to an area hospital in unknown conditions.
At this time, the WCSO has not disclosed any further details, but the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol have been asked to conduct an investigation.
