MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities responded to a semi-truck accident late Monday that shut down part of the Mitchell Interchange in Milwaukee’s south side, reports WISN.
The wreck occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 94/41 approaching the ramp to westbound Interstate 43/41. It was first reported at around 9:10 p.m.
It was not immediately clear how the semi jackknifed or whether another vehicle was involved. While the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the driver may have suffered injuries, no further information about the patient’s condition has been shared.
A span of the roadway was blocked during the response but reopened at about 12:00 a.m., nearly three hours later.
