RACINE COUNTY, WI — One person was rushed to a hospital Sunday night after a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Town of Dover, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the scene on a stretch of Wisconsin State Highway 11 (Durand Avenue) at about 9:30 p.m.
Preliminary details show the victim was driving a 2021 Toyota 4-Runner when, for reasons still being investigated, the vehicle veered off the roadway and hit a tree.
First responders arrived to find the damaged vehicle rolled onto its side and the male driver trapped inside.
The driver and sole occupant had to be extricated from the wreckage before being transported to a Mount Pleasant hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Officials said his injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
A span of the highway was temporarily shut down as crews worked to clear large tree branches that had fallen across the roadway.
An investigation by the RCSO remains ongoing.
