MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two people were taken into custody Thursday evening some time after a stolen vehicle was found crashed in northwest Wauwatosa, according to TMJ4.
Wauwatosa Police said officers had first identified the vehicle in the parking lot of Mayfair Mall when they attempted to approach the driver at around 6:00 p.m.
Shortly after the driver fled, officers arrived at the intersection of West Burleigh Street and Menomonee River Parkway to find the stolen vehicle unoccupied and crashed into a pole near Mount Mary University in Milwaukee.
While the vehicle’s occupants fled the crash site on foot, officers were later able to locate and arrest two men in connection to the incident. Authorities say they continue to search for one other male suspect.
No major injuries or hospital transports were reported following the crash.
