MILWAUKEE, WI — A 53-year-old pedestrian died Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle while in a northwest Milwaukee roadway, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police Department officials said the incident took place on West Fond du Lac Avenue at North 36th Street, in the city’s Sherman Park neighborhood. It was first reported at about 7:00 p.m.
Very few details have been made available, but a preliminary investigation shows the victim was in the roadway when an eastbound vehicle hit them.
First responders confirmed the victim, whose name remains undisclosed, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No information on the driver has been shared, but they stayed after the crash and cooperated with an investigation. No charges have been reported at this time.
