MILWAUKEE, WI — A police pursuit involving a U-Haul truck Wednesday morning in Glendale led to a number of crashes with other vehicles, reports TMJ4.
The Glendale Police Department said that at about 8:20 a.m., officers were initially called to the 1700 block of Silver Spring Drive, the site of a retail theft.
While the officers were trying to stop the suspect, who was driving a U-Haul truck, the U-Haul got onto Interstate 43 from Silver Spring Drive at low speeds. The truck proceeded to travel on the distress lane, striking multiple cars and trucks as it weaved in and out of traffic.
Authorities said the chase was terminated in the 4600 block of the southbound interstate, but no other information has been made available.
It was not immediately clear how many victim vehicles were impacted, but no serious injuries were reported.
