News: Multi-vehicle crash on WIS-21 in Town of Omro claims 1 life, leaves 2 injured

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI — One person was killed Thursday afternoon due to a fiery crash on Wisconsin State Highway 21 in the Town of Omro, according to NBC26.

The accident occurred at the intersection with Sand Pit Road, prompting a response from local police and firefighters at about 2:30 p.m.

Few details have been provided, but officials said three vehicles were involved in a wreck that caused one vehicle to catch fire and become completely engulfed in flames.

The driver of the burning car, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The other two drivers, both of whom sustained injuries considered non-life-threatening, were transported to an area hospital.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
