SAUK COUNTY, WI — A crash involving two semi-trucks Wednesday morning near Lake Delton claimed the life of a 29-year-old man and seriously hurt three other people, reports TMJ4.
The accident happened on a span of Interstate 90/94. Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) officials said crews arrived on the scene at about 8:37 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate that four people were traveling in a Hyundai when its driver lost control of the car. Moments later, the vehicle traveled past the median and collided with two semi-trucks.
Authorities said one passenger in the Hyundai, a 29-year-old man from California, died following the crash. The vehicle’s three other passengers suffered serious injuries.
No injuries to the drivers of the semis were reported.
The cause of the wreck remains unclear at this time, and it remains unclear whether charges will be filed.
