WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A single-vehicle accident Thursday evening in the Town of Lisbon claimed the life of a 28-year-old man, according to TMJ4.
The fatal collision took place on a stretch of Lake Five Road, north of Plainview Road, near the Twin Pine Farm subdivision.
Details are limited, but the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said a work van veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
While a 20-year-old man was able to self-extricate from the wreckage, the 28-year-old man was left trapped and had to be removed by first responders.
The department confirmed the trapped victim died as a result of his injuries.
It remains unclear at this time who was driving at the time of the accident.
An investigation with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol remains open and ongoing.
