RACINE COUNTY, WI — A crash involving two semi-trucks Tuesday afternoon near Kansasville left one of its drivers injured, according to TMJ4.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Durand Avenue and English Settlement at about 12:00 p.m. Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department crews were joined at the scene by multiple other agencies shortly after.
The cause and nature of the wreck remains unclear, but both semis sustained significant damage and came to rest in the roadway, completely blocking traffic.
First responders had one driver, a 36-year-old from Buffalo Grove, Illinois, transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities said the other driver declined medical attention.
By 1:00 p.m., crews had cleared out of the scene, leaving all lanes open to traffic.
No further information has been shared at this time, but Racine County Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate the accident.
