MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A multi-vehicle accident Monday afternoon forced a southbound closure of Interstate 43 near Lincoln Park in Glendale, according to TMJ4.
The Wisconsin State Department of Transportation first reported the crash on the southbound lanes of I-43, about 0.4 miles south of the Silver Spring Drive entrance ramp, at around 3:00 p.m.
No information as to the cause of the wreck has been shared, but three vehicles, including a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles, were involved.
Southbound motorists were forced to divert off the highway at Silver Spring Drive as crews worked to clear the scene. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office was handling the investigation.
By 5:23 p.m., all travel lanes were reported reopened to traffic.
It remains unclear whether anyone was seriously injured.
