BROWN COUNTY, WI — The right lane of westbound Wisconsin State Highway 29 was blocked Friday morning in Howard due to a fallen cement truck barrel, reports NBC26.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the incident occurred near a roundabout at the Interstate 41 interchange at around 8:10 a.m.
While it is unclear how the barrel came to roll onto the roadway, no major injuries were immediately reported, and no vehicles appear to have been impacted.
The right westbound lane of WIS-29 was closed for over an hour as a crane truck was used to remove the barrel from the highway.
By 9:36 a.m., crews had cleared the scene and all travel lanes were restored to traffic.
