MILWAUKEE, WI — A 1-year-old baby was taken to a hospital and multiple people were arrested last Wednesday, October 11, after a pursuit ended in a crash near Milwaukee’s Dineen Park, reports CBS58.
The chase was initiated in the city’s south side, near South Layton Boulevard and West National Avenue. While the CBS58 report does not provide the exact location of the crash, the pursuit came to an end near the park at around 6:00 p.m.
Milwaukee Police said officers had observed a reckless vehicle in the area and tried to pull it over, but its driver sped away, prompting a chase. The pursuit went on for about six miles until the fleeing car ran a stop sign and collided with an uninvolved vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle flipped in the impact, hit a home, and came to rest just steps away from another.
Several people, including a woman holding a child, appeared to emerge from the second vehicle in distress. Milwaukee Fire Department evaluated multiple patients for injuries at the scene, but only the 1-year-old was ultimately taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
The MPD confirmed three young adults, two 23-year-old men and a 21-year-old woman, were arrested following the crash. No further information has been made available.
