OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — Two people suffered serious injuries Thursday morning due to a rollover wreck on Wisconsin State Highway 47 near Cicero, reports We Are Green Bay.
The accident occurred on a stretch of southbound WIS-47 at Brugger Road, in an area southwest of the city. Deputies with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at around 8:57 a.m.
Details are limited, but officials say the victims were traveling southbound in a truck when the vehicle ran off the roadway. It crashed into a field and rolled before coming to rest on its roof, leaving the two occupants trapped.
Nichols Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene to extricate both people from the wreckage. One patient was then transported to an area hospital by ambulance while the other was flown by medical helicopter, suggesting more serious injuries.
